Description
This tool adds support for opening network files with an already existing installation of Gephi.
According to the Gephi homepage:
Gephi is an interactive visualization and exploration platform for all kinds of networks and complex systems, dynamic and hierarchical graphs.
Runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Gephi is open-source and free.
Implementation Details
This algorithm relies on the ".gephi" file format being associated with an existing Gephi installation on your system.
Only network files that can be converted to GraphML files will be able to opened with the algorithm.
This algorithm copies the existing graphml file into a new temporary file on the system in order to give the network file an extension that Gephi can recognize. That is to say that the ".graphml.xml" used by the tool are copied into temporary ".graphml" files for use in Gephi.
Usage Hints
If you open CIShell with a console, be aware that Gephi will reuse this console. This means that if you close this console, Gephi will also be closed without warning.
